Durban
Large Hydraulics & Automation Company is seeking a Branch Manager for their Durban Branch.
Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations at the branch, including developing business plans, attaining sales goals, delivering great customer care and growing branch profitability.
Key areas of responsibility:
Manage Daily Operations
- Management of company assets and ensuring staff understand their KPIs
- Monitoring and devising strategies for each sales task, ensuring customer satisfaction
- Coordinating with the Regional Manager on sales strategies, financials, staff and daily operations
- Ensuring all BMS processes and SHEQ awareness are adhered to
Manage and Monitor Branch Performance
- Preparing and managing branch sales budgets and expenses
- Achieving financial and EBIT targets by growing market share
Sales and Business Development
- Performing market research, analysing trends and competitor behaviour
- Creating sales strategies and monitoring sales activities and performance
- Identifying growth opportunities and acquiring new clients, managing key accounts
Manage Risk Assessments
- Performing risk assessments across operational, SHEQ, financial and market conditions
- Communicating risks to customers, staff and senior management and developing mitigation strategies
Manage Customer Relationships
- Understanding customer requirements and proposing suitable products/services
- Addressing customer complaints and queries, collecting feedback to improve service
- Identifying upsell/cross-sell opportunities
Monthly Reporting
- Coordinating with finance for accurate reporting
- Reporting monthly to the Regional Manager on issues, prospects and forecasts
Human Resource Management
- Managing staff motivation, wellbeing and KPIs
- Managing performance, conducting appraisals and training in line with branch requirements
Education & Experience:
- Matric, with a tertiary qualification in Sales, Business or a Technical field
- 5-10 years working experience in a similar environment
- At least 5 years management exposure and experience
- Sound computer knowledge at an advanced level (Intermediate/Advanced MS Office Suite)
- Knowledge of Syspro advantageous

- Proficiency in financial management, budgeting, forecasting, analytics and reporting
