Financial Manager

Large Marketing Company is seeking a Financial Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Implementation:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial strategies to support the company’s overall strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Director and executive team to align financial goals with business priorities.

Budget Preparation:

  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with department heads.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide regular updates to management on variances and trends.

Financial Accounting and Reporting:

  • Oversee financial accounting activities, including month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliation of accounts.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Financial Operations Management:

  • Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll administration.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Strategic Projects:

  • Lead and participate in strategic projects aimed at improving financial processes, systems, and controls.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making on key initiatives.

Payroll Administration:

  • Oversee payroll processing and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of payroll payments.
  • Stay updated on payroll regulations and compliance requirements.

Office Administration:

  • Provide oversight of office administration functions, including procurement, facilities management, and vendor relationships.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives to optimize office operations.

Risk Management and Governance:

  • Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant – CA(SA)
  • 2 to 4 years post articles experience.
  • Proven experience in financial management, preferably in a marketing or advertising industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
